- Description: Many race fans dont know how or why a modern F1 car is constructed
of carbon fibre -- even the steering wheel is made from it. This
film looks at the reasons why, and follows the production process,
from the carbon fibre sheet being cut with a pair of scissors in a
sealed room, right through to Fernando Alonso driving out of the pit
garage cocooned in a carbon fibre safety cell designed to withstand
the force of a 200mph crash.
